Osinbajo in closed-door meeting with NASS, state governors

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
on Monday met behind closed doors with the leadership of the National Assembly and some state governors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Although the subject matter of the meeting was not disclosed, it is suspected that it may not be unconnected with the Buhari administration's request for approval to borrow $29.9 billion as well as the 2017 to 2019 Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF forwarded by President Buhari for approval which the Senate described as empty.

Among those present at the meeting were Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello and Adamawa State Governor, Jubrilla Bindow.
