FG employs 200,000 graduates on N30,000 monthly salary

The Federal Government has confirmed the employment of 200,000 graduates as the first batch of its Volunteer Job Program which is expected to commence in two weeks.

The new recruits whose employment will last only two years will be deployed across the country as teachers and agricultural extension workers.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr Laolu Akande said at a workshop organized by the VP's office in Abuja on Friday that out of the fresh employees, 150,000 would work as teachers while the remaining 50,000 would serve as extension workers.

He disclosed that each of the employees is to receive a monthly salary of N30,000.
