Six people have been rescued while two others are still trapped under the rubble of a four- storey building that collapsed at 444 Crescent, Citec Villa, Gwarinpa, Abuja.
It has been reported that the building which came down in the early hours of Monday was illegally erected on a water way. The owners of the property are also said to have ignored an order to stop construction.
Rescue efforts by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, FCT Fire Service and some construction companies which brought in heavy equipment are ongoing.
