Army set to dislodge Boko Haram from Sambisa forest

Nigerian troops are all set to dislodge Boko Haram terrorists and destroy all their camps and hideouts in the Sambisa forest.

The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mansur Dan’ali, told newsmen during an inspection tour of the under-construction Army barracks in Gusau on Saturday, that soldiers were about to invade the forest and clear it of all the insurgents terrorizing the Northeast.

He noted that the present administration has made immense impact on the war against terrorism and cattle rustling.

”We have been working seriously, going round the world, collaborating with other countries in fighting terrorism at the national, regional and international levels,’’ he said.

He added that the new barracks which would be completed in the next three months is a proof of President Buhari’s commitment to the welfare of the military.

”You know, President Muhammadu Buhari is seriously concerned about the welfare of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies as we have noticed from the attention given to them lately."
