Govt Bans Night Markets In Yola After Bomb Blast

In the aftermath of Tuesday night's bombings at a fruits and vegetables market in Yola, the government of Adamawa State has banned night markets in the state capital.

Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla announced the ban on Wednesday after an emergency security meeting at the Government House, Yola.

According to the governor, all businesses that attract crowds including relaxation spots are expected to close at 6pm.

He urged those whose businesses are affected by the new law to show understanding as the ban was necessary for the security of lives and property.
