Senate Rules Forgery: Buhari Won't Stop Judicial Process - Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari will not interfere with the prosecution of those indicted of forgery of Senate Standing Order by Nigeria Police.

Punch reports that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu disclosed this in Abuja on Sunday in an interview with one of her correspondents.

He said the President's clearance was not needed for those saddled with judicial processes to do their job.

, “They do not need the President’s clearance to prosecute anybody found guilty of any investigation. President Muhammadu Buhari, as all Nigerians know, believes very strongly in the rule of law. The President will therefore not do anything that will stop the judicial process. He won’t stop it (the trial of suspects in the Senate forgery case).”
