Fantastically corrupt: Presidency embarrassed by PM David Cameron's remark

The Presidency has taken exception to the remark by British Prime Minister, David Cameron that Nigerian leaders are fantastically corrupt.

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu conveyed the feeling of the seat of power in a statement he issued on Tuesday.

RE: Prime Minister David Cameron's comments on Nigeria today:

"This is embarrassing to us, to us say the least, given the good work that the President is doing. The eyes of the world are on what is happening here. The Prime Minister must be looking at an old snapshot of Nigeria. Things are changing with corruption and everything else."
