Maku Faults Planned N17b Airport Project For Nasarawa State.

Former Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku has faulted the plan by Governor Tanko Almakura of Nasarawa State to borrow N17b to build an airport in the state.

Describing the airport project as an avenue to steal, Maku advised banks against granting the N26b loan being sought by the state government.

With the proximity of the airports in Abuja and Jos to Nasarawa State, Maku said that what the state needed was an airstrip, not a N17b airport.
