FC Taraba Players, Officials Get 1 Month Salaries

Reprieve came the way of the 34 players and 19 officials of FC Taraba last Tuesday when the League Management Company, LMC paid them 1 month of the 11 months salaries owed by the club.

The Chairman of the LMC, Mr Shehu Dikko said that the gesture was to enable them enjoy the Christmas and new year celebrations pending the resolution of their dispute with the government of Taraba State.
“This payment was made pursuant to our letter to FC Taraba dated December 6, 2015 and in line with the non-sporting sanctions imposed on FC Taraba since November.

“The LMC will continue to monitor the situation at FC Taraba and keep up the engagement with the state government towards an amicable resolution of the unpaid salary issues for which the Nigeria Football Federation Congress endorsed the actions and recommendations of the LMC on the matter,” he said.
