PDP Disowns Apology To Nigerians

People's Democratic Party, PDP's National Publicity Secretary Chief Olisa Metuh has said that the apology to Nigerians credited to the Chairman of the party's National Conference Committee, Chief Raymond Dokpesi is not the official position of the PDP.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, Metuh described Dokpesi's statement as his personal opinion since he is not a member of the National Executive Committee of the party.

He added that since Dokpesi is not on the national executive committee of the PDP, his opinions remain personal and do not in any way represent what the party stands for.

Chief Dokpesi had on Tuesday, tendered an unreserved apology to Nigerians on behalf of the PDP for its failure to meet the expectations of Nigerians during the 16 years that it was in power.
