Two Nasarawa men in police net for killing their mothers

The police in Nasarawa State on Saturday arrested Mr Oyin Osaba, 25, of Amba village, Kokona Local Government Area for the alleged murder of his own mother, Mrs. Diji Osaba.

Mrs Osaba, 75 was allegedly killed by her son during a quarrel. .

Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Sadiq Bello, said in Lafiya while parading the suspect before newsmen that his command also arrested another suspect, Mr. Adamu Iyanga, for allegedly killing his biological mother, 55-year-old Mrs. Hajara Iyanga.

“The suspect, who followed his mother to fetch firewood, hit her with a machete and ran away but he was later arrested. He confessed to the crime,” he said.

President Muhammadu Buhari landed in Benin City on Monday at the start of a 2-day working visit to Edo State.

Before he proceeded to commission infrastructural projects built by the APC administration of Adams Oshiomhole in the state , PMB paid a courtesy visit to the newly coronated monarch of Benin Kingdom, His Royal Highness Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II.
