President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday had a closed door meeting with security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
In attendance at the meeting which was intended to review the security situation in the country were the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen.Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Sadiq.
Also in attendance were Director- General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ahmed Abubakar, Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; the Director- General of the Department of State Services, Lawan Daura, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
According to a statement issued by the Defence Minister after the meeting, the service chiefs asked for more equipment to enhance their operations.
