Saraki mourns as CAN scribe passes on

The Senate President, Dr.  Bukola Saraki has expressed sadness over the death of renowned Christian leader and General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Dr. Musa Asake.

In a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki described the late Christian leader as a true and worthy servant of God and humanity whose passion and zeal would inspire many generations.

“Dr. Asake left no one in doubt where he stood on matters of faith and state during his lifetime.

“He was forthright in his utterances and humble. Above all, he was a man of peace.

“His likes are rare. His demise represents a huge loss to the christian faithful in particular and the country in general,” the statement said.

Asake died on Friday, May 11, 2018 following a brief illness.
