Gunmen abduct Nasarawa commissioner's two wives, demand N50m ransom

The unknown gunmen who abducted the two wives of Nasarawa State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Aliyu Ahmed last Thursday are demanding N50m ransom for their release.

The kidnappers were said to have made several calls to Ahmed on Saturday, threatening to prolong the ordeal of his wives if the money was not paid.

“They demanded that I should give them plenty money, but I told them that I don’t have money to give anybody,” Ahmed told The Punch correspondent in a telephone chat.

When contacted, the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abubakar Sadiq Bello said that his men were on the trail of the kidnappers.
