The Federal Government has declared Monday and Tuesday, September 12 and September 13 as public holidays to enable Muslims celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir.
The Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd) made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary, Muhammadu Maccido.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Dambazau enjoined all Muslims and Nigerians in general to support and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to diversify the economy and accelerate its recovery.
While wishing the country a happy celebration, he noted that government was aware of the hardship Nigerians are going through and would be doing something about it.
