Kuje women protest months of blackout (Photos)

Dozens of women in Kuje Area Council, Abuja  on Tuesday morning protested against several months of blackout in the area.

The women were seen at the Kuje office of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC carrying placards and chanting "no light no pay ; wi no go grii o, wi no go grii."

Some of the protesters told Abujacitynews that the AEDC had been distributing outrageous bills with virtually zero power supplied to the customers.

Staff of the power company who went to disconnect indebted customers the previous day were said to have been chased away by angry residents.
