Operation Clampdown: Troops repel Boko Haram attack in Sambisa

Troops on Operation Clampdown inside Sambisa forest were attacked by Boko Haram insurgents in the early hours of Saturday while they were refitting.

The troops  repelled the attack successfully, killing two of the terrorists and recovering 2 AK-47 rifles, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenade, RPG bombs, 5 rifle magazines, mortar bombs and a belt of Machine Gun rounds in the process.

Five soldiers were however injured in the encounter and were evacuated for treatment.
