Football Federation appoints dead man referee for a football match

The altercation between the two factions of the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF took a comical dimension within the week when the Chris Giwa faction appointed a dead man as the center referee for one of the matches of the Nigerian Football Football League.

The Chris Giwa faction had appointed deceased referee Wale Akinsanya for this Sunday's Week 13 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL match between Warri Wolves and Giwa FC, at the Warri City Stadium.

Recall that Akinsanya had passed on during a Nigeria Referees Association fitness test on January 22, 2016 and has since been buried.
