CSKA Moscow player Ahmed Musa has handed over the captainship of the Super Eagles to the team's current longest serving player John Obi Mikel.
Announcing the development before the media on Thursday, Musa said ; “I’m no longer the Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi is the Super Eagles captain.”
Obi who played his first match for the country ten years ago acknowledged Musa as a “wonderful professional."
The change is believed to be at the instance of team coach Samson Siasia who favours the captain's role being taken by the longest serving player.
