Hisbah Guards in Jigawa State have seized 111 cartons of beer in Birninkudu Local Government Area of the state.
The Commandant of Jigawa State Hisbah Command, Malam Aliyu Sa’idu disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse the state capital on Thursday.
He said that Hisbah operatives intercepted a Peugeot Boxer van carrying the beer suspected to have been smuggled in from Bauchi in Babaldu town on March 10.
Sa'idu recalled that the guards had seized 274 empty cartons of beer at Gidan-Dogo on Hakimi Street, in Dutse Local Government Area on Feb. 27.
