New Acting DG takes over at BPP

The Director of Agriculture and Water Resources Department at the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, Ahmed Abdu has assumed office as the Acting Director General of the agency.

This development followed the reversal of the appointment of Babatunde Kuye as the agency’s Acting Director -General.

The BPP said in a statement in Abuja that the reversal was sequel to the discovery that Abdu and not Kuye, was the most senior Director on the nominal roll of the bureau.

The immediate past Director General of BPP, Emeka Ezeh who was sacked by President Buhari alongside 25 other heads of parastatals had handed over the affairs of the agency to Kuye in acting capacity.

Kuye has since handed over to Abdu, pledging his total support.
