For allegedly getting involved in the sharing of money in Sambo Dasuki's Office of the National Security Adviser, a serving Army Colonel has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The officer whose name is yet to be disclosed reportedly served as Dasuki's special assistant responsible for liaison with the Nigerian Army.
According to eyewitness accounts the EFCC deployed two truckloads of armed security personnel around the army officer's sprawling residence at the Apo District of Abuja.
Following the refusal of the suspect to let the operatives in, eyewitnesses said the EFCC had to bring down a portion of the fence before they succeeded in effecting his arrest around 10 pm.
Reports say that the Colonel's name featured in many deals for which reason the EFCC wants to determine his exact role in the disbursement of the arms funds.
