The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari on Friday honored the first baby born in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja in 2016 as part of the ceremonial activities to mark the new year.
Mrs Buhari congratulated the mother of the baby who was born at Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja at 12.12 am, weighing 3.7kg
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that the female baby named Destiny Agu was born to Mr and Mrs Uche Agu.
Mrs Buhari admonished women to "play their roles well in bringing their children up.’’
NAN reports that baby Destiny Agu was presented with gifts along with other babies born within the period.
