A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday, granted bail to former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, former Director, Finance and Administration in the office of the NSA and a former Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Aminu Baba-Kusa .
The accused were docked on December 14 on a 19-count charge of criminal diversion of funds brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Ruling on their bail application on Friday, Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N250million and one surety in like sum.
He directed that each of the sureties must show evidence of owning a property worth N250m in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Apart from being a Civil Servant not below the rank of a Director in the Federal Civil Service, each surety must also swear to an affidavit of means.
The judge also directed the accused persons to deposit their travel documents before the court, adding that they must inform the court whenever they want to travel outside the Federal Capital Territory .
He fixed January 21, 2016 for commencement of trial.
