Nine prisoners serving various jail terms in Kaduna State on Thursday October 1st breathed the air of freedom courtesy of Gov Nasir El-Rufai in the spirit of the nation's 55th independence anniversary celebrations.
Also, five prisoners awaiting execution had their death sentences commuted to various prison terms.
Gov El-Rufai disclosed this at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna during activities marking Nigeria's 55th independence anniversary.
