57 cadet officers of the Department of State Services, DSS undergoing training at the institution's training school in Lagos were last week dismissed for failing a screening test ordered by the leadership of the service.
While some of the dismissed cadets reportedly did not meet the entry requirements into the service, others were found to be physically unfit.
The dismissed cadets who were among the about 430 personnel recruited into the Cadet Officers Basic Course 28 of 2014 code COBC28/2014 had already completed 8 of their 10 months training period and would have become Senior Intelligence Officers upon graduation.
The screening exercise is said to be a part of the restructuring program of the new Director General of the DSS, Lawal Daura.
