Former President Goodluck Jonathan's erstwhile Information Minister, Labaran Maku is not happy. He is angry over the story making the rounds that N37b was found in his farm in Nasarawa State.
Writing on Twitter, Maku said that someone decided to blackmail him after he challenged the state governors, Tanko Almakura to account for the monies that accrued to the state over the past 4 years, including so-called security votes.
"This evil blackmail on me on the social media is happening because I challenged APC Gov Tanko Almakura
@taalcircle to account for the
estimated Hundreds of millions of Naira he collected in four years as allocations to Nasarawa State yet the state is still in poverty.
"I asked Gov Almakura to account for the the N4.8 Billion he collected from the state treasury as security votes since people are dying .
Instead of accounting for
Nasarawa money and responding to the issues I raised, @taalcircle agents went on social media to slander me. "
But seriously, would anyone be so crazy as to hide that kind of money in a farmland?
