The presidency has disclosed that gay marriage was discussed in one of the meetings President Muhammadu Buhari attended during his 4 day official visit to the United States of America.
According to Femi Adeshina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the president rejected the idea point blank, telling his hosts that gay relationship was against Nigerian law and culture.
In a post on his Twitter handle, Adeshina wrote : "The issue of gay marriage came up here yesterday (Tuesday). PMB was point blank. Sodomy is against the law in Nigeria and abhorrent to our culture."
