Nigeria's former military ruler, Gen Ibrahim Babangida (retd) has expressed absolute confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will defeat and bury the terrorist group Boko Haram.
In his eid-el-fitri message to the nation, Babangida agreed with President Buhari that the terrorist group in no way represents Islam but has continued to portray the religion in bad light.
He said that regardless of renewed hostilities by the sect, especially the use of suicide bombers to create mindless havoc and panic, President Buhari had the capacity to bring their activities to an end. "I have implicit confidence in my mind that President Muhammadu Buhari will put the final nail on the coffin of Boko Haram so that Nigeria can truly assume her place in the comity of nations."
