Here is a recent conversation between two Abuja housewives.

Wife A : Whenever my husband annoys me, I make him pay for my services.

Wife B : Are you... serious?

Wife A : You better believe it.

Wife B : And he pays? Seriously?
Wife A : If he doesn't pay, nothing for him. That's how I make him pay for making me angry.

Wife B : Doesn't he know where they do 'sharp-sharp'?

Wife A : Let him go there nau. If he  chooses to spend the money outside, that's his business.

I used to think that once dowry is paid, Madam is at Oga's beck and call. Now it's beginning to look like Madam has the veto power.
