The Naira on Friday lost N0.5 against the US dollar at the parallel market.
The Nigerian currency ended the day at N225.5 to the dollar as the previous value of N225.
Forex traders attributed the loss to increased demand from businessmen and travellers for the dollar....

Nigerian troops on Sunday foiled a suicide bomb attack at an army base in the Northeast of the country.
A source told AFP that the suspected female suicide bomber was shot at when she defied the order of the guards to stop at the gate for security checks.

“Soldiers at Maimalari army barracks this morning (Sunday) foiled a suicide attack by a female bomber.

The Kano State Police Command has raided the notorious Falgore forest in Tudun Wada local government area of the state.
During the raid, 72 suspected cattle rustlers were arrested while 818 cattle were recovered.

American troops on Saturday began drone surveillance and intelligence gathering operations over Sambisa forest in Northeast Nigeria.
According to AFP, this marks a significant escalation in Washington's contributions to the war against Boko Haram insurgents.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has penciled down some staff of the Akwa Ibom State government for questioning over the alleged misappropriation of N108.1b by former governor Godswill Akpabio.
