The Nigerian Army has vowed to demolish any building found to be harboring Boko Haram.
Speaking at a press conference in Maiduguri on Friday , the Theatre Commander of Operations Lafiya Dole, Maj. Gen. Yusha’u Abubakar, said any buildings used to perpetuate terrorism would henceforth be demolished.
He vowed that the military would not be deterred in the war against insurgency, and that the timeline for the operation would be vigorously pursued.

Alison-Madueke Arrested In London

Former Petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, was on Friday picked up in London by the United Kingdom National Crime Agency.
Sources disclosed that the UK police arrested Mrs Madueke on account of activities bordering on fraud and bribery.

65 Million Nigerians Are Illiterate - UNESCO

A literacy survey conducted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO has revealed that about 65 million Nigerians cannot read and write.
Dr Mohammed Alkali, National Programme Advisor on Education, UNESCO Regional Office, Abuja disclosed this during an advocacy visit to Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State.
He said that with basic reading and writing skills, it is possible to lift people out of poverty.

Nigerians have been advised to patiently wait for the official announcement of President Buhari's ministerial nominees by the Senate President on Tuesday, October 6.
